I. Logging in to your Barracuda Account
The log in page is located at http://spamfilter.brainstorminternet.net:8000. If you have forgotten or don’t remember your
password for this account you can get a new one sent to you. Simply click on “Create New Password.” If you already
know your password just enter it and click Login.

II. Managing your Quarantine Inbox. Your Quarantine Inbox holds messages that have met a certain Spam Score and they are stored in this “quarantine”. From here you can choose to deliver the message to yourself and / or whitelist the sender. Note: On our system you don't have to worry about deleting messages since they will be automatically removed.

Managing the Quarantine Inbox in two different ways:
Using the Actions Column: There are three actions that you can take on each message:
1) Deliver— delivers the message to your inbox
2) Whitelist—puts this email address in your
whitelist to allows allow messages from this
sender to go through
3) Delete— Deletes the message from your Quarantine Inbox (Note: this is not necessary due to automatic purging)
Using the Buttons: To use the buttons first select certain messages or check the box above to select all of the messages. Then click the appropriate button.

III. Whitelist/Blacklist. In addition to the whitelist from the Quarantine Inbox, you can whitelist and blacklist from Preferences page. Log into the Quarantine Inbox, then click Preferences, then Whitelist/Blacklist. From here you can type in addresses manually. Note: blacklisting is ineffective against spammers, but you can use it to block individuals.

IV. Quarantine Settings. Log into the Barracuda control
panel. Click on the Preferences
tab, then click Quarantine
Settings. This is where you can set the notification interval to Daily, Weekly, or Never.

V. Spam Settings. Log into
the Barracuda control
panel. Click on the
Preferences
tab, then click Spam
Settings.
FIRST you must set
Use System
Defaults to "No" and
click Save Changes.
THEN
you can set the Quarantine
Score
to a
lower number (lower
is MORE filtering,
greater
is less filtering.
Note: We recommend
you ONLY change the
Quarantine Score and
leave the Tag Score
and Block Score at
default (10 or DISABLED).
